God Will Never Forget

Amos 8:1-6,9,10

Neither will God be mocked. What we sow determines what we harvest. We must beware of sowing oppression and injustice. We must refuse to take advantage of another, the way they did in Amos’ day. God warned against this in Leviticus:

“Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God” (Leviticus 25:17).

The concept of not oppressing another “resonates” in my heart. I’ve got to sharpen my sensitivity in this regard.

It’s interesting to me that oppressing another is contrasted with fearing God.

What do you make of that?!

Ye are strangers and sojourners with me (Leviticus 25:23)

As a side note, this is short (and late) because I have been having “mini migraines” the latter half of the week. That has drastically diminished the number of for-pay hours I’ve been able to work. And both of those factors (among others) meant less time and less focus for a “free time” project such as this.

Now we are listening for you...

Above all, love God!
